Unfortunately I will miss yet another Roundup, and your area is so beautiful. My daughter's wedding is July 10 and I think she will hang me if I leave town in June!
June in Montana RU near Glacier Park.
Steve, Mom and I will do all possible to make it, and try to entice as many people to tag along as we can. It was just incredible to spend time with all of the wonderful people who attended the last roundup...how can you resist if family obligations don't keep you away? Something to look forward to next summer!
It is looking like I will be able to make, although a lot can happen between now and then to upset plans. I would love to see the gardens as well as meet people in person!
Woohoo!!
I'm still definitely coming.
mulch, I would definitely enjoy meeting you.
I will be putting in for a mini vacation. but all this will depend on having someone available to take care of the animals. At least there is a lot of time to accomplish that.
We will try to get his vacation time switched. We really really want to go!
Katye, how are you feeling?
Lynn, how are YOU feeling?
Hi Lynn - better, but the Bronchitis kicked my *ss. Not quite sure how to put it but I am "thirsty for air" - like I can't breathe in enough of it. Tired of coughing, too.
How are you faring? I imagine this procedure was a success, and will prove to be a good decision.
Wishing you a very speedy recovery!
Oh, and smart cookie you were to schedule it for cr*ppy weather!!!
Here's a seasonal reality check entitled "Utter Disdain":
OK it is starting to come together. Looks like there will be lots of people from both Rocky Mountain and Pac NW. Therefore our house will have 3 double beds, Lots of other floor space in the house. We have a Super 8 hotel and many others here for those who want to have privacy, Lots of B&Bs, Camping and motorhome space at our house. Plus many other parks in our area to camp. My home has 3 fenced acres that I am welcoming dogs to come. Yes you will need to tether them from time to time but they can run free without worry in the area. Small dogs could get out but we have electric fence if you dog is used to the collar. My dogs would like to have someone to play with. So Kayte bring them. We also have a great kennel nearby if you want to go somewhere they can't. We have an area Called Jewell Basin that allows dogs to hike on leash (and off). We have 2 canoes for those who want to paddle our small and large rivers. I hope to have my sailboat down here from Alaska this spring but if not we have a yacht club which loves to take people out racing on Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday cruises. Flathead Lake has many lodges if you want to stay on the lake while you vacation here. NOTE GRIZZLEY BEARS do not frequent our area and pets are not at risk. We do have black bears, raptors, and lots of deer to cause you to be aware of so very small dogs are at risk from eagle, and hawks. Large dogs would like to chase the deer and leashes are important to have when hiking.
It is my plan on having so many things to do and so many people we can plan on groups or individuals doing what ever they want each day. We will plan breakfast and Dinners at our house and the days are free to you. This is a picture of Flathead Lake.
Oh wow, that all sounds awesome. I've spent many a lovely week at Flathead Lake & Big Mountain. Can't wait to add to those memories.
How could anyone pass up this trip!!!
Looks like I really better remember to bring my camera. ;-)
Sadly, I won't be able to make it on those dates, but we have a niece in Kalispel so if we are visiting her family sometime (either this summer or next) I'll check to see if you are home and plan a visit if it is a convenient time for you and your wife. Too bad I'll be missing this event though.
Steve, please see your D mail from me.
Not to sound like a dope, but what exactly is "Round Up" ??
It's the term they use for a get-together.
We stole the term from those in the Southern forums . . . it's not a term I'd use in another other context.
Unless we were going on a round-up. Chasing those dogies.
I've only seen those in the movies. You know me, I'd gather the dogies using treats or something. :-)
I think it should be a Rendezvous not a Round up. We beaver men always had a big get together at the end of the winter to party and trade beaver pelts. I miss going to Rainy Lake and telling my trapping stories.
Every time I hear the term Round Up I think of the herbicide. You can imagine what pops into my head when I hear things like, "pictures from the Texas Round Up".
Rendezvous sounds like something very fun and perhaps a little exotic (maybe even illicit). I vote yes on using that as our new term. :-)

I like revelry. "We're going to Sof's for a reverlry" G'ahead. Say it out loud. It's sounds as good as it is ^_^
I shall change the listing Now.
Complete with tinfoil hat parties and virtual streaking . . .
Opps can't do that so off to the NEW thread. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1068755/
