WHAT IS THIS????

Nahunta, GA

I found this fella in the green house kind of rolling around. He is creepy looking, yet beautiful at the same time. I tried to get good pictures, but he was not very cooperative. Any help would be appreciated!! He is in life a beautiful sea green/blue. He has these horn like things on his head, there are four of those on each side. This thing is HUGE he has got to be an easy two-inches long, fat as a thumb!!

WOW!! I am impressed!!! Ok so I put it in dirt.....do I need to keep a cover on it?? with holes??? And how long does the process take? Would it be best to just bury it in the ground? I am not really good with remembering things..I do good to feed my fish...my dogs are good, they are always underfoot, but I am afraid to put this sweety up and it get forgotten about. Also...if you want him.....not sure if it is good to move from one area to another, but if it is ok...I will put him in something safe..you tell me what...I would like to see it grow..but just am not the one...so let me know.

just leave the container open in a safe place out side. It will burrow down into the soil and make its cocoon. Not where it will get rained on or in direct sunlight. It won't elcose(hatch) until spring
