OK Are you trading? I want one of those pups from that agave on the bottom left.....
well done finding a plant with that many pups!! I have a couple of other agaves, or some aloes, to trade if you're interested.
Do I need this vine?
Great Agaves! You can pot those babies up and sell them, and use the money to buy more plants! LOL
Hey Kell what is the pink flowered plant?
I am in contorted in misery today. I am in great need of an agave I saw yesterday that was too pricey but I can't stop thinking about it. Woe is me. I have plans for today and tomorrow so not sure when I can get back. I may have to change plans. I am trying to resist. I am broke. A friend the other day said when I was in the midst of a squeal of delight as I saw a new plant at a garden we were touring that I have been given a great gift from God to be so enamored with plants. This is so true to feel so intensely such a great love which has given me so much enjoyment for my entire life but it is also a great burden to be racked with such need. I remember as a 6 year old picking all the carnations in a nearby GH and taking them home to my mother so thrilled with my great find. Only to be spanked hard! OUCH! I should have learned my lesson then. LOL
I so suck at actually sending plants, Dutchlady. I procrastinate. When I repot this I will try to get it together to send you a pup. It is pupper by nature. I have one already that I bought last year. It was in a 5 inch clay pot with one 4 inch plant. I paid $48 for it. Still makes me crazy I paid that. But I loved it so I had to have it. I paid much less for that big one yesterday!
Lakeside, I am going to move them to a big shallow green bonsai pot I have and I want it filled with them. I love this one. A mini with the best end thorns.
Here is my older small one. It had no pups when I got it last year so you can see how it pups so freely. Again, kills me they charged me so much for one that pups so easily. Agave parryi minima variegata Great variegation, great thorns and it is flatter than the average agave which is so attractive.
Yes that is the one I was talking about and I thought it might be an oxalis; just wanted to make sure. You know me when it comes to anything pink.
That one is great! I wonder what the difference is between that and some of the other variegated ones that look so similar, like creme brulee.
Do you have a blue agave Kell?
I have 3 med size I found by a clothing contained. One has pups all around it. They are pretty but I don't think I have the room to keep even one of them. I have to research how big they get.
Lakeside. so many look the so similar! Some are the same one just with different names! I found out the other day that my Agave parryi minima variegata ( NOTE THIS DUTCHLADY) is really Agave parryi Creme Spike! http://www.smgrowers.com/products/plants/plantdisplay.asp?plant_id=3060
Dutchlady which agave have captured your heart? Do you have pictures?
Sandy, there are tons of blue agave. I seem to be working on collecting them all. Sadly!
Some get just huge! Too huge for most gardens. In a pot you can slow them down. Post a pic of your finds and maybe one of us will know it.
This is my favorite blue one. When I saw it across the room I went nuts. Such a color. I actually left it there trying to live by new motto of restraint but made a beeline back by the end of the day. I find I am enamored with the biggest baddest side spikes and so deadly end thorns.
