September, rains, moist walls and rooftiles, a bit of mossy surface... these are in thousands and everywhere, falling through gaps in tiles, much to the annoyance of my daughters. They say 'yieekes!' when they see them! What could be the name of this? Is it a moth?
Caterpillars to be identified please.
The second one might be in this family. Hope this helps

Just last night, I uploaded after sorting out the moths found in my garden. The album is here: http://picasaweb.google.com/dinakar58/MothsUpload?feat=directlink Is any a match to the caterpillars? These pictures have been taken in the last two years.
Thanks for any help, wren.
Great pictures. Wish I could help but I am still learning the ones around here, in Florida, USA
Do you have a collage near by with a department of nature sciences. They might be able to help you ID your butterflies and caterpillars. We have a collage not far from here I live that have a web site that ID"s many of the bugs, plants and animals for our area. They even have a butterfly house.
Let me do some check in on some thing, be right back.
These are sites that might help you. The first looks like the best one.
