Connie,
So that's the name of the foliage: bustleback. What a neat name. I googled the flowers and it is very pretty. You know what other foliage I thought was really interesting? Senk's Say What. Very petite, delicate- girly, for lack of a better word! Do you grow this one too?
I'll have to check out the Wizard series in the Spring. I like the dark foliaged AV's too. I think I am done buying leaves til then! LOL
I got the rest of my leaves all potted up. Now the waiting game begins!
Leaf starting questions........
Shanika you hit the name on the head , it is called girl foliage and I did have Senk's Say what but lost it when I couldn't walk last Summer , it was downstairs and the stairs were a problem for me so many of my plants down there died but I do have Senk's Neverland Dreams and it has the very serrated , variegated , girl foliage , it's very pretty , I have a few of his and they are all very unique , I have Mazin Blue and it is blue and white but in the Winter mine are just white and then when it warms up it gets the blue back with the white , it is Mazin to me :)
I am glad you got all your leaves planted , now you can look at the pics on the web abd then soon see them in your own home , so fun :)
Connie :)
Ryan ,
I have not heard of rooting cups but it sounds good , I use rooting powder on my leaves and cuttings and I know some say that just makes more roots and not babies but to me a good root system make bigger stronger babies and no rotting leaves , it is so nice we all share the things we learn with each other :) Thank you for the link and I think you can transfer the leaves as soon as you wish but maybe sooner is better as there will be less damage to the roots , I would not rinse off the rooting gel and try it with just one or two at first and see how it goes and proceed from there and please let us all know how it goes with pics if you can :)
Thank You Ryan :)
Connie
