We had a good amount of rain today and when I came home for lunch I noticed a ton of these guys in my wet grass. There were probably 50 of them in one area by my deck.
Ive never seen any of them before today.
Sorry if the pic isnt that clear
Caterpillars everywhere
Slugs?
Not a slug.
does it have legs?
Could they be Army Worms?
Army worms? Gotta go look that one up...
Its not a very good pic, but they do have legs. they have blue and green colors on them, and are about an 1" long
If it has a lot of tiny legs then it might be a millipede http://bugguide.net/node/view/37
I still think it may be Army Worm. Google them up and see what you think. When I was a kid we lived in Ohio and I remember having a mass of army worms in our yard. Couldn't walk through the grass without getting worm guts and yuk on our shoes. They must be real easy to smush. Anyway, thats my story and I'm stickin to it. Laverne
