Thank you all for the good wishes and lovely photos----it's been a great day! Still 94 here at the house at 6:00 pm (bleachhhh), and it was in the 70's at the coast. Just lovely. Crawled Half Moon Bay nursery (one of my all-time faves), had a lovely lunch at the brew-pub (didn't sample any of their special wares, as I was driving. Then on to Santa Cruz to one of my other favorite plantaholic-enabling sites. Came home with 2 flats of utterly irresistable stuff (mostly 4-inchers, so a LOT of plants).....sigh....which I now have to figure out where to put---and I'll need to wait for a cool day to find time to do it.

While I was out, DS and DH conspired to get me snails and crabs for my little aquarium. It's been empty for a while, so it will be fun to have a REASON to clean the $(&#@) algae again!

Personally, I think every three months is a good time to spoil yourself. Make up any excuse you want. Since when do you need permission? It's the encouragement to spoil yourself that you need! Might as well enjoy yourself while you can! : - )
