Bea, beautiful stuff still blooming in your yard! I so wish I could grow mums...yours are lovely. At least I can content myself with fall asters here at home and enjoy the mums in EWA. Other than your bee pic, the cosmos is my favorite...it's color is just so yummy.
And about the bee picture....you made me do a double take! My brother and I researched that particular bee earlier this summer...it is a Green Metallic Bee. Want to see why we researched it?
GARDEN PICS: BEAUTY FALLS IN THE GARDEN
Yes. I love any info on bee's..hope it is good news!
Don't remember many more facts as they aren't in my garden here, so the info kind of drifted in and right back out of my brain, but isn't that just too much with the pics?
Mums and sedums. Yum!
summerkid. You could have come right over to my house and spent the night.. I'm 5 minutes from where you were at the end of Hood Canal. That nurseryin Brinnon is a rhody nursery and it is a neat one to visit.
I guess they like blanket flowers. How funny. Pretty shot. I just "googled them. They are also know as sweat bee's as they are drawn to the smell of sweat. They are solitary bee's and often live in the ground. very interesting creature and pretty too!
Yow! Those Lewisia are absolutely stunning.
I planted blanket flower seeds in the spring, but none of them grew. I'll have to try again, they're so pretty!
My Stellas are still blooming, too. I just adore them. :)
News from Shelly,
She says thank you Sharon for the new tread. I told her you made a new one.
All is well and still no idea whats wrong with her kitty, goes to Vet. again in AM.
This is the fire close to home

Ah, Willow, shoot. If only I'd had everyone & their locations straight. That could have been fun, except that I was absolutely dead on my feet by 4 p.m. Anyone who can sleep for 3 straight hours sprawled across their truck seat, feet on the steering wheel, is not fit company for human beings.
We wouldn't have minedl. We don't talk much. ^_^
To think, I could have seen all this in person. I am an idiot.
No you aren't , just busy and new to the area.
WIllow, those wild flowers are so pretty. I love stuff that reblooms. :)
Have lots of seeds. I'll send them with the pineapple lily bulb.
BeaHive Beautiful Lewisa!! I love those!
RJ praytell about the green bee!!
Ooh! Thank you, Willow- that would be awesome! :D
Score!
Very nice! My maters are almost all gone. I only grew one small plant. I'll definitely be growing more next year. :)
Holy Toledo! O.O
I sometimes think Tagro must be at least a little bit radioactive... hehe.
Magnificent frog photos. Sally, your first photo shows a frog with a lot of attitude. A true Oregon frog. ^_^ I hope your smoke clouds are going away.

Yay frogs! Great pics, Sally. :)
Best I can do LOL Sally
Yum maters.
Love the frogs
MichaelZ...good harvest....tomatoes are my very favorite!!!
Pony.... (doing a really goofy happy dance) HOORAY FOR SOME FROGGIES!!!!!
Sally... I agree with Michael...your frog definitely looks like he has an attitude! Way cool pic.
Julie! *does happy dance with you* I'm so excited to know there are at least two of the tree babies left! :D But we still need to have TGTC2 next spring... LOL!
Fo Shure!
I'm finally seeing the tree frogs also. I was afraid the toads ate them all.
I'm hoarding them at my place.
Should I have tree frogs? How come there aren't more DGers down by me? It seems like I'm in a totally different ecosystem than most of you.
I wish someone could tell me why there isn't a single squirrel here. Or Japanese beetle. Or mosquito.
I've never seen a Japanese beetle. I hope I never do.
I have plenty of squirrels and mosquitos if you want them, Summer. Come on up and we'll round up a truckload of them for ya. No charge. :)
SK..I have only seen one squirrel in the three years (almost) that I have lived in Silverton. It was the day
i had my fence put up. He/She scurried across the fence never to be seen again. It is puzzling on why there are not more. I have bird feeder out around my garden, you would think that would attract them.!!Maybe the have all relocated to Pony's house.
Was very excited to see this preying mantis a few days ago. First one this year. Had lots last year.
