CLOSED: Help with Identifacation

I took a picture of this spider on the side of my house next to the door. It is fairly large in size about 3.5"X3"
I live in Rock Hill SC I assume that the region I live in is important. It has been there for 3 days and is somewhat low to the ground, I am mostly concerned with my dogs using it as a chewy toy.

It looks to me, to be the Black-and-yellow Garden Spider Argiope aurantia

And yes, I agree, looks like good ol' "writing spider' to me. We have lots and enjoy them.
