CLOSED: Walking Stick

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

This lil guy was not the easiest to photograph. Most the images were blurry.

I"m just curious if it's a "average" run of the mill Phasmatoidea, or is there a specific name... that way i can add it to Bug Files.

Since I did not get any replies... I'm guessing he is just a run of the mill walking stick.

This most likely is a northern walking stick, Diapheromera femorata - see http://tinyurl.com/yaddhu6
However, there are at least two other species that could occur in your area, the prairie walkingstick, Diapheromera velii - see http://tinyurl.com/yedvhjr - and Blatchley's walkingstick, Manomera blatchleyi - see http://tinyurl.com/yf3m296
