New gnomes start their journey

Well, the boys look like they're having the time of their lives with you Mona! A great story to go along with wonderful pictures and you have lovely gardens. Your daughters are just adorable!

The hand-off. Jerome2 all bubble-wrapped to protect him. Bowwinkle Mountie Moose and I don't remember the name of of the Mountie bear.

I think Mona has a few more pics that she'll add later, when she gets home, of their visit with her and I look forward to seeing Shannon's pics.

Are you using Firefox as a browser (like Dave of DG suggests)? It's got a great built-in spell checker. I really miss it when I have to use IE on DH's laptop when we are travelling.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

explorer here dont like firefox

Grand Forks, BC(Zone 5b)

My HP printer doesn't like Firefox either. Such a shame. Best Browser out there.

New thread here. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1041685/

It was great to meet you, Ann and Mona!

I'm handing over the gnomes to Sue (drivenbonkers) in Kanata tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully they'll get out of Ontario long before the snow flies ...

Any further word on their adventures?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Yippee..won't be alone for Thanksgiving..guess who arrived last night...I'm thrilled...last time they were here for a visit I had 5' of snow and it was Christmas...wow, any longer visiting the world and they'd be back in snow....

Will start our adventures and post photo's

Perth,, ON(Zone 5a)

I feel I owe an explanation to all and apology to weslemkoon..

I already had the lads way too long, and I wanted to send them off last Wednesday.

I realized when I got to the post office, that weslemkoon WAS next on the list, but did not have a name listed for the address. ... I dmailed Thursday a.m. asking for a name.

I'm sorry weslemkoon, I skipped you.

In the interest of getting them shipped off sooner rather than later, I sent them off to BettyPauze in Thursday's post,.

Sue

Victoria Harbour, ON

If you'd like, I could ship them off to Weslemkoon once they've spent Thanksgiving with me if you wish then we'd be back on track?????

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Sue - any progress on fixing your computer so that we can see pics of their visit with you?

My fault that there wasn't a name for weslemkoon. But according to the last list (they've changed often) that I had in my computer, it should have been

Bettypauze
ceedub
weslemkoon
MarilynneS

after drivenbonkers - or had it been changed again?

It's really going to take me a looooooooong time to catch up on the *Continuing Adventures of the Gnomes* but I really want to say how much I enjoyed looking at all the wonderful pictures here (lovely people and plants).

Mona I really, really enjoyed looking at your lisianthus! Years ago, when I lived up north, I was able to purchase a wonderful selection of the doubles every year but, sad to say, they are much more difficult to find down here. I usually can find at least one double every year but not the colour selection I was spoiled with before (will have to make a point of hunting them down elsewhere or head up north just to visit that amazing greenhouse again.

Perth,, ON(Zone 5a)

I was going by the numbering hand written on the list? oops!

What's a trip without a detour, anyway? lol, that usually the norm for any trip I've taken......

Good news is the computer's back, (but the bad news is it appears that I've lost all my old photos....) and all the programs that WERE on the old computer....

I do have the chance that a talented IT genius will attempt data recovery (thank goodness for adult children and their equally brilliant friends)

The pics from the boy's visit are still on the camera, so I just need the time to get that organized, after the programs are reloaded..... sometime this long weekend ; )

Oh, Betty, keep an eye out for the bear, he might be a little near-sighted....giggle!

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Sue, the printed list may have had changes that never made it to my computer; so it's likely correct for whatever reason, I no longer remember. But if they take a detour, so be it. I'm glad that your latest pics are still on the camera. Really sorry about any you've lost. Reminds us to make back-ups, I guess. I know it's time for me to do one.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

backup? I can barely get my system running smoothly..... (and me, a former techie!)

siiiiiiiiigh well, hate to mini-chat and run, but I gotta get tons of work done...........
