fall and winter color in yard - Zn.7

what plants would anyone suggest I plant for winter color...I know pansies but what else? any iteresting colored folage for winter? I would like something I could plant in Oct or Nov. and it would last til maybe April when I could plant something else

Trina, you are lactose intolerant? My mother used to fix powdered potatoes when I was a kid and they were even a lot worse back then. They tasted like they had chlorine in them! And the consistency was really gross!

Try toadflax for winter color. We had several plants out of a wildflower mix and they literally bloomed all winter long. Each plant can have hundreds of tiny flowers. Very showy.
