See these guys yearly - they start out on my profuse cleomes, and branch over on the Brugs. Easy enough to pick off, but my property is nearly an acre, and they are abundant. Leave sick plants with holes. Distinctive pattern - black heads are not elongated, black legs

Dropped my DC last week - died; sent it in for replacement. These guys are slow moving - gathered up 7 this morning all feasting a Brugmansia; but I recall lots of them this time last year on the fading cleome stems.Their shell has a shield like design - very regular pattern, but not thick like an armor look.
