I found this by the road side I assume its a moth but which please Pyrenees French /Spanish border 1000ft alt

That is a truly striking color....and looks like it might be painful to come in contact with.

Please, if you do get and ID for it, post it here. That is a striking color...would hope that it becomes a beautiful butterfly.
