You're welcome.

I had a chat with your friend from Naylor Creek at the NHS plant sale last weekend, Jim. Nice guy. And I finally got an Empress Wu - now, where to put it . . . :-)

Spiders! Flying ants! Now I have squirrels in my attic! What next? Bats in my belfry???

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

I like bats. But I don't have a belfry.

I did ask Tracy to build me a bat house, though. :)

I second you Pony...I love bats, but don't have a belfry! I do however as of last night have one tiny bat squeeked up in a gap in my siding.

DH finally started painting our storage containers (used semi trailers) yesterday (I have been waiting eight years for this to be done...when they sell them, they just blot out the names with paint, so they were really an eyesore in my yard). My bat house was mounted on a pole on the top of one of the containers, so he took it down yesterday for the paintwork. Found bat poo in the dog dish on the back deck this morning! Told Don he had to put the bat house back up pronto!

And as a happy thought, now I have two clean lavender-gray containers to decorate! Hooray!!!

My spiders in the courtyard. My daughter just informed me she has a new camera for me and I will get it next Friday. Zoom, macro--can't wait.

For those who have negative thoughts about spiders. I threw a dead moth in his web and he had it all wound -up and sucking on it in a minute.

Not crazy for spiders but those are great shots Willow. Looks like a huge web!

Willow, your negative spider is great.

What a clever idea to take a negative shot of the spider - beautiful
Did anyone see on the internet the picture of a spider on the Pope as he was delivering some kind of speech?
It crawled up his arm (sleeve) across his shoulders to the other side and down the sleeve and then back up and many more little jaunts and finally ended up on his face and when it tried to enter the Pope's ear it got swatted - I do not believe that it was injured
Spiders even bother Popes!
