I have had great success with soaking the seeds for a few days. outside because it will smell real bad. I used to grow these as well queen and a few others that slip my memory at the moment.
last year I had great success soaking daylilliy seeds in some of the hydroponics chemicals.here are 2 links to check on. I mix these in a gallon of wateralong with hydrogen peroxide and one other chemical that slips my mind but it will come back to me and I will send the name of it as well. I had daylily seeds sprouting in an overnight soak. I was impressed.

they both add in the benifecial fungi including 18 species of mycorrhizal fungi. I usually water in the seeds withe the leftover soak so that the growing media get the additional fungi as the seeds did.

The palm seeds I used to use just plain water and had great sucess.
