CLOSED: Please help: Unknown Bugs Procreating on My Sweet Alyssum

CA, United States(Zone 8b)

I found these unusual bugs mating among my sweet alyssum today. They appear to be one of many insects I've observed lately taking favor to reproducing on my sweet alyssum. Thanks to anyone who can help me identify them. Oh yeah, and please be sure to specify whether they are beneficial or pest. Thanks again!

I see you have marked this as 'Solved,' but see no comments. Did you find that these were an introduced species known as the Bagrada Bug (Bagrada hilaris; Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Pentatomidae)? They can be quite damaging pests on many plants, including alyssum - see http://tinyurl.com/outqes for detailed information.
