Very pretty!

Lovely haighr! SImplicity and loveliness, a great combo!

I have been lying in wait on your rectangle wreaths, are you having any luck with them?

Can you beleive that bittersweet vine...I saw 4 lenghts 3 feet long at the nursery and WOWEEKAZOW - the price was $17 and that was not a wreath! Just swag material!

Told my hubby DO NOT KILL the vine! Im taking it to the florist next time to sell it!

That wreath I made probably would retail at $30 no decor...just the bittersweet!

Thanks to all. This was my first effort and I was quite pleased with the outcome.
BB, I am sure that wreath of yours would easily sell for that price.
I haven't brought back the square or rectangle yet and yesterday I did a really hard prune on the wisteria and so don't have much to work with. The pruning was mostly of the harder wood and that won't shape w/o snapping. guess I will have to wait until spring as I don't have any other vine to use to make another.
I'll have to look for bittersweet vine? Tasha got a small one just to put on her table and it cost a fortune.

Well, to get berries, you will need two vines for the bittersweet!

I regret that I used all mine in my wreath, but I have tons of plants.

They do get to be a tad invasive so they need a big playground to romp in! Otherwise you will find yourself restorting to horrible ways to kill off part of them. They spread by runners under ground and if planted in loose soil that has fairly decent drainage, you can pull them out. I have tried to tame the thing, but it argues a lot!

I just measured my wreath at its widest point and its 2 feet across on theoutside. A little oblong, but if some one did want it for $30 I would part with it happily! I am amazed at the price of that stuff!

Would not that look spiffy with some cinnamon sticks, some sunflowers, gourds and some fall leaves!

I am now thinking I should have put a few pinecombs in mine along with some acorns? Duh, next time!

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Oh, yes, do add the pinecones and acorns! That would be so festive and a bow of some sort as well!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

You are the bowmaker BB, I can barely tie my shoes LOL!

EZ PEZY!

Well, I whipped up a few quickies using the wisteria vine wreaths...

Nothing too fancy, just something very simple and for use for loyalty wreaths that can be either hung on a door or maybe placed on a gravesite.

Sometimes you cant make the wreaths too bulky as they will not fit between the screen doors so these are ideal for those tight spots or like for wreaths hung on patient doors for shut-ins.

I used whats I call cheater bunches on these.

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Thanks haighr.

They are just something really simple. Nothing too fancy but fits the order.

Well, Im off to the cafe.. Hope terri has some hot chocolate made. Im pooped and want to relax with some seed catalogs

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

You and your seed catalogs lol, just can't get enough!

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Well, now Im doing Christmas cards.. hows by you?

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

I am getting ready to pack a bag for the tropics! Gift giving with the grandkids was done at Thanksgiving, may put a few decorations out this weekend just so we have them up for the New Year. No other exchanges, - Cards for the kids and grandkids went in the mail today and that is the extent of it. We haven't received any Christmas cards from other than the kids in years, guess around here folks just don't do much card exchange and we never have.

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

I enjoy doing cards. I think most people migrated to the internet though.. but its nice to have something tangible!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

THe few cards I swap over the year are generally ones I make myself and print out as I can write a nice verse and always can find a suitable posy photo to go with it.
I've never done the internet cards, way too goofy in my estimation.

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Well, youjust have not come across the right ones then on the net.

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Guess not but must say haven't ever spent much time looking either.
