You appear to be part Druid Bill.
Is that arch a animal pass thru for the wall?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

hey joann - it is just like the one i made earlier this year out of larger stone - this was left over blue stone after repairing a wall this weekend - real easy to make - took maybe 5 minutes not druid although i saw a little stonehenge last weekend and it got me thinking :)

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I actually think it was the Romans who built with that sprung arch design

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

I would love to have one large enough to walk through at the end of our driveway to get into the backyard - that would take expensive granite and heavy equipment not to mention stagging to hold it in place until the last stone is set.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

when i built a sprung arch kiln we used a form until we got to the keystones at the top.
This kiln was about 4 feet deep and 4 feet high

Looking good whanut! I totally luv that arch.
