It's raining again! I went out to check the bucket, and someone stole it!!!! It was there last night when I got home from the meeting, but now it's gone! I checked the dumpsters, just in case someone thought it was trash (ha!), but it wasn't there . . .
First Rain Since January 09!!!
Now that is sad, Nichole! If they will steal a bucket they will steal anything. So glad you all are getting the rain!
you should find where the dwn spicket is,it will fill up fast that way and you can keep an eye on your bucket
JIM
It was right outside one of the bedroom windows . . .that's how I realized it was gone - I looked out the window. Went outside to check in person, just in case a river moved it! Oh, well. There was an apartment guy picking up garbage earlier . . . when I go to get DS from the school bus, I'll ask one of the apartment people to ask him if he saw it. Kinda hard to miss . . .big 18 gallon purple bucket w/rope handles.
I live in the country and don't have gutters on my house. But this rain is amazing. This poor epi or whatever she is has gotten beaten down by the heavy rains, but my plants outside are going nuts!!
Now I can't find the picture I just took of a giant white epi blooming.......
That's great news you got some rain! Sorry to hear you have damage to your house.
Hi Jan! Did you know that Corpus Christi got 21/2" today........the most of any day since a year ago August 17th? We are supposed to get more tonight.......yay!!!
We didn't get but about 1/4" today but it slowly starts adding up.
Hi,
That's amazing news, you needed the rain so bad! That 1/4 of a inch might have soaked in the ground! Keep doing that rain dance lady ^_^
3 days in a row and predicted more rain tonight and tomorrow..........we are doing the rain dance each day with total gratitude!!
It hasn't turned my yard from brown to green yet (LOL)
Yes, SO grateful!
I am so glad all of you suffering from the drought in Texas finally got that much needed rain! What a blessing it is and yes, the plants truly love a rain so much more than the water hose!
We don't get them often in our area but I remember the one we had in 2002-2003 and remember the farmers just turning under all the corn and soy crops because they had just dried up in the fields! It really made me sad.
I hope you continue to get the rain you need.
Karen
Thanks.........we didn't even get to plant.......the drought was already under way......
