Can anyone tell what kind of butterfly this is by looking at the underside of its wings?

Not a butterfly per se, but a skipper (Lepidoptera: Hesperiidae); namely a silver-spotted skipper, Epargyreus clarus - see http://tinyurl.com/lpnlaa
