ViburnumValley has suggested the one to the right is an Elm. I didn't have enough photos for easy ID. Here are some more photos of the two trees. Any help would be great. This photo is of both trees. I will post several photos of both trees - the one on the left first.
Please help ID these two trees.
The second tree (to the right) looks like Paulownia tomentosa, the dreaded, invasive princess tree.

Princess tree...sounds pretty but I don't need anymore invasive trees...I have to think of my neighbors:) thanks for the website and info!
The first one reminds me of an Alder (Alnus)
hhuuummm...I will look up a Alder (alnus) to see what it will look like once it is grown - etc. sound interesting...thanks
First is an elm, not an alder - note the lop-sided leaf base.

wow...I'm fascinated at how well everyone can tell the difference between trees by simply looking at "leaf bases"...not to mention knowing the names of the trees, etc. Thank you.
