I found this caterpillar on my patio. It has my whole family curious. We have never seen one like it before. It has a small green "horn?" on its head which resembles a blade of grass. I can't seem to find any info on it. The picture is linked below. Thanks for any information any one may have.
CLOSED: Can any one identify this caterpillar?
This is a larva of a moth in the family Notodontidae, Heterocampa sp.; possibly a white-blotched heterocampa, Heterocampa umbrata - see http://tinyurl.com/m6gkzl for an image.
Wow thanks so much. We are gonna research further. Thanks again!
