What are these?

These little tiny caterpillar- like worms skeletonized my Turk's cap leaves in matter of days. They remain the same size and seem to not growing (not increasing in size) but continue to eat like it's going out of style!

Though, it's not wide spread in the garden. It's just localized in one location.

Tehehehehe. No, not the beloved. lol. Wanna see my beloved by-product? Here you've asked for it. Not to worry though. It will recover -- my poor Catalpa. I hope the caterpillars all are pupating now. There is not any greeen leaves left to be consummed!

They're not too hard to pick off, if it's not too many plants. It's gross, but I just squish 'em.

That's! Indeed I've seen the adult black with the orange thorax sawfly in the garden too! I'll see about hand pick them off. I've other prized mallows in the garden and afraid they'll spread eventually. Thank you.

FHL, I'm glad you've enjoyed my venture with the Catalpa. I'll post pix of the blooms in the near future to share.

As I said before....I'm so glad I don't get them.. but I live in the sticks....
hey if your not doing anything this Sat. you need to come to Santuck,Al..its a giant flea market...only open till noon..so get there early..like day break...mapquest it!..
