There were many bees on this sedum, but this was the only one with those striking orange spots on its legs. It also appeared to be a little bigger than the other bees. Can anyone give it a name.

This is a bumble bee, Bombus sp. (possibly Bombus impatiens - see http://tinyurl.com/lhmov8) - the orange objects are packets of pollen that the bee has collected and attached to specialized hairs ('pollen basket') on its hind legs.
