Looking for a "beginner" set of bulbs

Spooner, WI

I've been working on a garden for my mom, who is pretty much home-bound, but able to enjoy the front garden from her large picture-window. She adores Lilies, and we have an orange NOID out there under the bird feeder. She told me she'd like to have several different kinds, so I picked up one locally. Unfortunately, my nieces or nephews (not sure which one) stepped on it & broke the stem off. I'm assuming it will come back okay next year and bloom?

My question is whether anyone has any bulbs (or bulblets would be okay, I think, but I'm not sure how long those take to bloom) that you would be willing to send to me for postage. I'm on a college student's budget, and don't have a lot of money for plants, but would like to get these in the ground for next year.

Mom loves pinks and yellows, and I like the Orientals, but any would be great. A mix of different ones would be perfect, but again, I'm not particular. They don't need to be named, although that's always nice...

Of course, if you have ideas for sources for something like this, that would be very cool. I have a bit of money to spend (her birthday is in 2 weeks, so I was hoping to do something like this), just trying to save where I can.

Thanks.

I don't have any to send, but can not send plant material to U.S. anyway.

What I would do is pick up a bag of mixed Asiatic Lilies at Walmart or Sears.
They usually have bags of mixed colours at reasonable prices.
Some garden centers may also sell bags of mixed lilies.

Good Luck with your lilies.
