fridges

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Thanks Martha. Shows how much I get out of the state. My traveling days are behind me, thank the lord!

Oviedo, FL(Zone 9b)

We started with the truck ones from various service companies, oil co, plumber etc., when my son was a crawler. He played with them down on the floor in the kitchen. My husband would bring them back from business trips. He once went on a trip to Taiwan and came home via Hong Kong, and Paris so he could say he had flown around the world. Which he did! Got a whole bunch of magnets out of that trip! Now he only gets down to Connecticut from time to time. However, I have lots of magnets. I even have a magnetic stapler and a magnetic calculator from Staples, though these are stuck to the file cabinet next to my computer. Only drag is that you have to take them all down and clean the door once in a while. DH claims that this magnetic object in our kitchen may be visible from space! a false magnetic pole!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

best refrig magnet we ever had was from red sox opening day 2008 when they raised the last banner (could only get one ticket so i went alone, wife was not happy) - it was the entire 2008 schedule maybe 10" x 7" and it could hold up any calendar made - that and the alarm company are the only magnet on our refrig. last year

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Does the alarm sound when the Yanks win???

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

not an alarm sounds more like a "babe" crying

Thomaston, CT

I* like stuff on the fridge---it entertains the gkids, & they like their pictures displayed.

Oviedo, FL(Zone 9b)

Here's the front. the trucks are still at the bottom of the bottom door. I took down the band schedule and the jury duty notice so you could see the magnets at the top.

And the right side. I have a framed picture of Jean-Luc Picard under the dishtowels. This side is for the clunkier more three-D things that would fall off when you open and shut the doors. The cow heads, the wooden old fashioned phone, note pads, etc.

I have two moose. I do have more cows though. Lots of art. Mona lisa, picasso, the meeting of Jackson and Lee from the confederate museum, The Hope Diamond, and sometimes small watercolors my sister sends me that she painted on post card sized paper.

Finally here's mine.
There are usually more magnets, they kind that you get free...look like business cards...my daughter uses them for her credit cards.
The calender on the lower left is my sons countdown to our Dusney vaca.

Now we know your favorite radio station!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Yes you do, even on their listeners' advisory panel.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Neat Jen! How old is your son?
We considered a black fridge but didn't get it, you like it?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

He'll be 7 in November.

Black fridge is fine, it's the side by side that I absolutely HATE!!!!!

North Augusta, ON

Why?
I've been thinking of one since it seems it would be easier to organize...

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Worse to organize, you have to keep moving things around to find anything and then rearrange everything when trying to put somethng away. The pizza boxes we get from our local pizza joint won't fit. VERY annoying.

Well, dang! I am so tired of opening the freezer compartment in my fridge and having frozen things fall on my foot!
I thought for sure that a side by side would be more manageable.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Frozen things are always falling on my feet! I thought I broke my toe when one of the freezer packs that keep things cold in a cooler fell on it. My next fridge will be the one with the doors on top and freezer on the bottom

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I have the double door fridge with the freezer drawer... it's great... big party platters can fit in the drawer for the cold cuts... mine has the water on the inside which is kind of annoying... but when we were looking the option to have it on the outside was not available yet

That's the type I would like.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

we have two fridges in the house... we have a lot of parties.. and both usually packed to the gills on those dates... it does come in handy

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Allison thats the same frig my brother has. His Gf still packs it so tight you have to move things from side to side to find anything and there are omly 2 of them too. lol

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I'm pretty easy peasy about the food fridge. I'm very anal about my seed fridge though. I LUV the disney countdown calender flowerjen! I have just started one this second for our AZ/NM trip!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Allison does the freezer section have a section that slides out of the way when you open the door so that you can see what underneath....Do you know what I mean? Not just a chest like freezer with just one section???

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yes it does Jen... the slide drawer has the ice bin.. which we both love.. you can pull the whole thing out and dump it in a cooler if need be... the only time I find myself digging in there is on the bottom ... if you put any small items under bigger stuff it can get buried.. but so much easier to find things then the reach in ones

I gotta get me one of them...I'm hoping my fridge breaks soon.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

the newer ones are nicer ... just tell your hubby you will save so much every year on electric and get it sooner

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i think we have the same one allison

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)
