Found this yesterday on the coral blooms. Am looking to identify it. Had not seen spiders with such markings in my garden before.
A spider to be identified
This is a lynx spider (family Oxyopidae); they actively hunt down their prey rather than spin a capture web. Their very spiny legs appear to help in the capture process. See http://tinyurl.com/nuxfnx for an example from Kolkata, West Bengal.
