Corkscrew willow toxic?

A friend of mine posted the following statement on another (non-gardening) forum that I frequent, and I'm curious about a few things.

He said:
"The tree (Corkscrew Willow) has a poison output so if your pups like to chew on things that drop, branches etc. keep the yard tidy under that tree."

I'm not a tree expert by any means, but I've never heard of any ornamental Salix having a "toxic output". I do know that Salix species contain the precursor to aspirin, and that some veterinarians recommend Willow Bark extract (Salix alba) to ease pain in arthritic dogs.

I've done a pretty huge Google search and I've come up with nothing.... it there something I don't know about Salix? I'm aware that even "safe" plants or herbs can be toxic if the dose is too high, but Salix has been used medicinally for centuries.

I've never heard of willows being toxic in other than huge doses.

Willow bark is the source of Aspirin.
