This one appears a bit odd to me as well. It may be an unusual color variant of Araneus cavaticus, often called a barn spider - see http://tinyurl.com/ldckh8 for an example. Identifying spiders from images, especially many orb weavers, can be problematic because of their wide and often overlapping variation in color patterns.
