How 'bout a few more bluebird pictures?

Stafford County, VA

Birdie I was fortunate in getting both my college degree and my law degree while on active duty. Both at my own expense, I should add. I enlisted in 1958 and served the first six years as an infantryman. I graduated from college and earned a commission in 1964. Seven months later I was in Viet Nam as a ground officer. Then I went to law school and the last 10 years I was a JAG officer. I retired in 1980.

I still miss it.

Reason that you can capture bluebirds in flight?

Stafford County, VA

In a word, Iris, goodequipment. Two words do become one word if you leave out the space, don't they?

Plus, a lot of patience and whole lot of luck.

My little guys are 53 days old and are already showing signs of molting (Resin and Margaret: that is the same as moulting.)

And her older brother, now 104 days old, is almost finished with it. He's probably not as dark as he appears here. The sky is very dark and it fools the camera.

Nice, the younger one looks adorable.

Dave, I highly suggest you watermark your photos. In PS you can create a watermark to go over the center of your photos but is clear (hope that makes sense) but still allow one to see the BB or on just under...either put it very close to the bird so that no one can try and crop it out. And the other step is to not allow downloads from the sites, ie the right clicker. Also, you can have your copyright information permanently placed in your Exif data during downloads in PS. You put to much time, effort, sweat, tears, heart and soul in capturing these photos to just let someone take them; even if for a good cause.

Just One Man's Opinion

Glad you had a good time at the BB convention.

I totally agreed with you. So makes that one man's opinion, and a woman that backed him up. If that counts as something? I hope so.

Dave is certainly informed enough to have taken the precautions that he desires. Lets just please enjoy his wonderful work. rather than give advise to an attorney. ^_^

Thank you Birdie, but I am sure we have all heard of lawyers who give excellent advice to their clients, but do not always follow that advice in their own affairs. I must admit that in many ways that still applies to me.

BTW, I have taken precautions with the galleries on my SmugMug site. I have it set up so people can look at all the pictures, but no one can download a picture unless they contact me and I unlock the gallery. That seems to be working all right.
