Food list for CS round up
I can bring a cold, baked ham and some plastic "silver" ware. I've also got two chairs.
We'll bring a dessert this time...will advise what kind soon! MMMMM Fresh Turtles sound gooood!
I'm sorry, I should have asked. Are we doing a meal, or dessert and coffee or . . .? I've never been to a roundup before.
It's just potluck. Bring whatever you wish. Once the list gets going I'll post a running tally of what people are bringing so others will know whether to bring salad, meat or dessert depending on what may or may not be lacking. If you have a specialty that's always something to bring. My turtle cake is like chocolate on overdrive. Very decadent.
Yeah, I was thinking "Forget the darned ham, lits just have chocolate." lol
If you whine enough, Jim and Karla will probably bring sopapilla cheesecake and brownies again... They were SOOOOO goooood!!! Unfortunately I can't make it this time, so someone else will have to eat my share. (sniff, sniff...) ;-)

Would any of you great cooks like a bottle of Jalapeno wine? It's great for marinating, and the winery will release this years production this month.

Jalapeno wine will be released at 11 AM October 3rd -
Very limited quantity as usual - last year sold out in 28 minutes.
We will bring what we can.

Ok folks the dbf has asked that I make my Posole Verde. It's a soup with Jalepeños, pork, cilantro, and hominy. Very filling and great tasting. So spicy soup, spicy wine and chocolate. I'm set. lol Here is the list as we have it so far:

I have a case of the Jalapeno wine - Dave made a double batch this year, so the release Saturday sold time and a half as much as last year.... but .... a few cases are left.
I will also bring some Texas Cheeses - Houston Dairymaids will hook me up.
I'll also bring paper plates and napkins, as Sandy won't be able to come and that's what she was bringing.
