Lynn, I told my daughter that growing plants is what keeps me from driving my adult children and grand children crazy by visiting them too often ..........smiling.
HMMMM.....not sure how to respond to that !!
Well........they all live about 3 or 4 hours from me and they have busy busy lives with lots of activities. I always go and see each child perform in whatever sport, dance, etc. at least once in the fall and once in the spring. (plus I see them at summer camps, etc)
If I didn't have my plants to play with, I would live much closer to them. (maybe too close?)
Okay.......I sure get that!! I am afraid if I said that to my son and he bought me a bunch of beautiful plants,I would be thinking.....did he do this because he loves mom (which of course is the right answer) or did he do this to keep me so busy I would leave him alone....LOLOL.
I know the real answer,but I coudn't help ribbing you a little ^_^.
I think it's great you live that close.Dave is in San Antonio so I don't get to attend special events.....and (sigh) no grandchildren,but I have 2 great nephews and a great neice to spoil a little.
And......... I think it is so far as I would love to get to see every volleyball game, every soccer game, every dance recital, every basketball game, etc............
Geographically, families just don't live as close to one another as we used to. I grew up living next door to my grandparents and my aunt, uncle and 4 cousins lived on the other side!!!!
