Wonderful Melanie!

Amazing how Michelle incorporated the sun, moon, stars, rainbow and clouds into that butterfly!!! Pretty darn creative kid!!!

How adorable, she did a terrific job!

Yeah, I really liked the rainbow on the butterfly. Wouldn't that be cool? Of course, the way some of them shimmer it seems like looking at a rainbow. I always admire people who are creative. I may have a gifted IQ, but I still draw the same as I did in first grade - badly, LOL! I just don't have that talent in me, but I certainly appreciate it in others.

Found two more Red Spotted Purple eggs today!

Well, I miss the RSPs, but the leaves they would have used are a bit crispy on many of the trees! Congrats!

Speaking of images in wings, MANY years ago (over 20), This article was in a magazine and I had it framed.

Now you can get posters from the same photographer.

Yeah, those Polydamas don't know when to quit. Sometimes I think they're a little too successful at surviving. There's just not enough pipevine in the world to satisfy their appetites.

I just found a cat on my mallow. Looks like Texas Powdered Skipper, but we'll see!

Edinburg, TX

Dang it Linda - I want to raise those! We have them out here but I've never found the eggs or cats. Just means I'll have to look harder!!!

But I can say I raised Erichson's White Skippers :o) Raised and released three butterflies from two cats and one egg I found :o)

you might tire of hearing my comment but I love, love, love sulphurs

Cat, Erichson's was one of the kinds I thought about when I had the last skipper cats and realized that it wasn't TPS. I would've loved to have had those...cool-looking. I'm wondering why I've only found one cat this time and it's not very small...surely there's more around!
