I just have to tell ya'll about the new cooking experience I had and the wonderful lady who helped me do it!

I LOVE eating Pho bowls at Vietnamese restaurants. All kinds, pork, beef, chicken....it's one of my favorites.

For those of you who haven't experienced it yet, basically, it's a big bowl of flavorful broth with rice noodles and the meat of your choice. It is brought to your table along with another plate of bean sprouts, diced peppers (hot!), fresh cilantro, fresh thai basil, mint and sliced limes. You put whatever you want in your bowl. More additions would be soy, hoisin or fish sauce. Whatever you like.

I would have never tried to actually make this on my own had it not been for Mavierose. It was more than successful. I'm kicking myself in the pants for not taking pictures. But I will next time (that will probably be in a week or two)

My house smelled delightful from the spices used.

So, to you, Mavie.....thank you ever so much. I can now save the $6.95/bowl x 3 and make my own delicious pot of goodness.
