My parents were visiting for a few days, and mom and I were on a plant buying kick as usual...We got many cactus to make a cactus garden, some hibiscus, mandavilla (sp?), oleander, fountain grass, and a bunch of other things....It's been so lovely lately that I totally spaced out and wasn't thinking that right after I bought everything it would be 112 today. I've got everything up near the house, trying to keep it out of the hot winds that blow through our back yard, but I don't know how long things will last. Thank goodness I got everything from Lowes and Home Depot so I can return them when they croak!
Drats! I even got a pretty trellis for the vines! lol
It figures! I buy plants and it gets super hot!
I'll be on the boards for a few more days, then I'm going to let my subscription lapse for a while - that is as long as I can stand it. lol. We have so many home improvement things to do that I'm trying to save every penny. But hopefully I'll be back on soon.
Stay cool!
Hugs,
Erin
This Heat is All My Fault!
Well, I'm glad to hear someone admit it 'cause I've sure been looking for someone to blame it on! It's a good idea around here to maybe wait until October to put thngs into the ground.
Yep you can totally blame it on me! I thought it was going to be a little cooler today, but the forecast now says "same as yesterday". Ugh.
Was way hotter here today. Hope you'll be back soon, or stop in and visit. I know how it is with home improvement projects, actually, I think we all do. Who hasn't done something to their house or grounds this year?
Stay cool and give me a holler?!
WIB!
