Found this really cool looking bug while I was taking a pic of evening primrose. Anyone know?
CLOSED: Flying insect ID?
This looks like a moth in the family Noctuidae known as the goldenrod stowaway (Cirrhophanus triangulifer) - see http://tinyurl.com/mxwl8o for an image. Reportedly, these moths often are found during the day on yellow flowers, which provides them some concealment.
Thanks a ton!
