irises for postage

I wanted to offer some irises to my CA friends. I'm going to be thinning my iris garden and totally revamping, reorganizing and just plain working the whole garden over. We need to replace water lines and just rework a few things...thinking of taking a year or 2 off of selling. Some of the irises are really clumped and I'll be digging quite a few. Some rhizomes are large, others are on the small side.
If you'd like a flat rate box stuffed with irises for postage, let me know. I'm going to offer 10 boxes for right now and then more later. I'll probably start next week on the first few rows and then will have more in the next few weeks. I don't want to throw any away.
They won't be marked but when they bloom, I might be able to help ID.

Please, weegy, save me some! Can I use it as an excuse to come visit? I'll take any color, but already have the kind Kanita gave me, and some that one gardener left by the side of the road out here with a sign on them saying free! They disappeared really quick. My friend happened on the place and shared with me. I shared with Mom. These are a lighter purple than Kanita's. Been wanting to expand the iris garden.

Gee, and I thought my DH was bad, Rodicap. Or maybe it's because he is only just learning to garden? Can't be a guy thing.
The hard part for me is digging them up and separating them. Luckily the iris garden is far away from the poplars so it mostly just getting the dirt wet enough to dig into.
I do have to watch that Chinaberry tree that volunteered to grow near my iris'. Prolific reseeder. Been pulling out a lot of sprouts from my iris garden. Which is easy to maintain and oh so beautiful!

I feel the same way, weege....taking some down time to re-group. We have a new market in town, but right now I'm not even interested. I'll wait until spring and see how it is doing and how I'm doing......if I weren't home watering yesterday and today, everything would be crispy critters...it's about 105 here today.

I'm not quite in California but I would love to have a box. DH is finally installing the irrigation on the side yard so I have a whole new strip to plant!

I sure will Sherry. I'm thinking about stuffing either the medium flat rate box which is 9.85 or the large flat rate which is 13.50. Postage keeps going up and up. Let me know which you prefer.

Dilllansnana, I'm only doing 11 boxes this week but will post in the next few weeks with some more. I thought by only doing 10 at a time would be best and not too confusing.
