CLOSED: Help me help a co worker indentify this disaster

Rocky Mount, VA(Zone 7a)

I work with a young gentleman who planted leland cypress around his back yard for privacy. His trees are being devoured by some type of larval stage critter that we need to indentify. some of the pics did not come out very clear but here goes.

These are bagworms (Lepidoptera: Psychidae); likely Thyridopteryx ephemeraeformis. Unfortunately, at this stage in their development, they can be quite difficult to control. See http://tinyurl.com/4nyaa for a fact sheet that includes control recommendations.
