Can I still save seeds from tomatoes w/late blight?

Can I still save seeds from tomatoes w/late blight? Are they any good?
If so, I just leave the green tomatoes with blight on the vine until they turn red, yes??
My main purpose for growing a garden this year was to save seeds.
