This is a larva of a sphinx moth (Lepidoptera: Sphingidae); likely Pachysphinx modesta, known as the poplar sphinx or modest sphinx. The mature larva lacks the characteristic terminal 'horn' of this family. See http://tinyurl.com/kvy8tq for images and detailed information.
Beautiful sphinx moth!
Thanks so much !!
We do have quite a few of the Sphinx Moths here bouts, usually we see them around our Meteor (Sundown/Sunrise) lamp in the mornings.
Now I know from whence they come ^_^
HAPPY!!!
