Burpee's 'Celestial Mix'...

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

Does anyone know which MG's are in this mix? the package just says blues and whites, but the pic on the package shows a white, a medium blue and a dark blue.

Didnt know if they used specific ones or not. was just curious.

cue_chik - Debra is a sweetheart to offer seeds to you!

I, too, share nicely with others for postage! Nice to see another Floridian wanting to try their hand at MGs! Watch any I. purpureas seeds/vines if you plant them in the ground ... they can drop a LOT of seeds that are next year's volunteers! :-) I grow mine in a pot. Love them and they keep giving back year after year! :-)

I will be/have planted mine at the treeline, hoping the will grow up some of the over growth. if the drop seeds, theyll be mowed over with the lawn mower...LOL.. so no worries their!

And it was very kind of her to offer me seeds! There are so many kind souls here on DG.. just makes ya feel all warm a fuzzy :)

Becky is right . . . those puppies (I. purpurea) DO drop alot of seed . . . hope your mower has sharp blades . . . those vines pop up quick!

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

lol, I'll be sure to keep a close eye on them. but the edge of the treeline is 'wild' and mowed once a week, so hopefully, that will keep them in line!
