Food and Plant Thread for 9/19 SW New Hampshire RU

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh, thanks, Celeste!!! The poor administrators have probably been going nuts because of my editing every time someone said something new so I wouldn't get too far behind if I lose my internet. From now on, you could all be on your own at any time. I hate that! If I fall off the face of the earth, just come on anyway! LOL

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Memory I would love some as well!!!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

The candy lilly seeds won't be dry - so I will bring lots of pods and everyone can take all they want.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Is someone bringing hot dogs??? LOL Don't worry....we'll have plenty of lunch ready for you when you arrive. Just have a safe trip and you can stretch your legs plenty around our yard!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

There are plenty if everyone wants just a pod

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

That's great, JoAnn! Thanks!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i need everyone to think red tomatos - they have slowed down ripening with this cool spell.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

That's my problem too, Bill. I'm sick of looking at those puny green tomatoes and having to buy some.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

well i have a few and put ones that were close into a closed brown box hoping it will help

Atkinson, NH(Zone 5a)

I will bring a crock pot of chilli and rolls...seems like a good thing for this time of year.

Thomaston, CT

Yes, it does!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

That's GREAT that you can come, Liza! And chili/rolls would be just perfect!!

Yippee!!!! I'll update the lists on the thread now. Thanks!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Thomaston, CT

Hope our weather is good---see y'all tomorrow!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I'd love one if you think it's hardy enough for here Bill?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i'm sure it is - you get it!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

It's very pretty. Is the foliage geyish green?

I only have one that i've seen bloom and I know the name is "Carmen'

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

it is a low grower and the foliage in blue/grey

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It's pretty, I really like blue/green foliage.
Everything about 'Carmen' is pale. Her flowers are light pink and the foliage is light green.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh, it's not that you had no takers....I just don't want to be a piggie!! Bring it on!!! I'm sure it'll find a good home even if it gets left behind! LOL .....But....it IS getting late for you to still be out there digging!

I just looked at our weather........looks sunny, breezy and 50's for most of the day. The "real feel" is lower than the temps. Hot mulled cider will take the chill off on the early end. .....a great day for a fall gathering in the country! We're looking for some rain here shortly now....just enough to mess everything up out there! LOL

Has anyone heard anything from Primrose Sue? She hasn't answered any of the Blasts, so I'm not sure she's still planning to come. How about you, Sherrie???? Are you surviving the recycling???

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Bill I would be happy with anything you bring.I will take a claime to the low sedums.
I have plenty of coleus cuttings ,and assume there will be DGers who might want them but didnt lay claime.
Pixie
Onewish
Kassia are on the list ,
If your digging just bring it

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Right you are, JoAnn! Everything will find a good home among us all!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes Jo Ann, I would love Glory!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I just stuffed about 3 -5 each of all the above listed.
Dug a Fall aster Woods blue for the raffel and will bring seeds of the parnamcanda Sangria
and a small verigated hosta for Louise.
Debilu and I will leave about 6 AM tomorroe morning
