Hi Seray !! Isn't he great such a big heart that one....

I think everyone must be going by Dave's time. Which is 8:31. Seems the only way we're on the same wave length. Unless LUCY got them LOL

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! ALL you winners. Thank you Mitt. That is very sweet of you. Newbies everywhere will be happy to receive their packages, made possible by people like you. I just LOVE it. Good night everyone, REALLY this time.

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!GET THOSE SEEDS!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much Mitt for donating all these beauties for the Newbie cause. Congrat's to everyone!!!!!! Can't wait to see all the pictures of your gardens.

However Arejay we did tell you that we planned to bury you in seed. Because we love you of course. I know there's more out there just sitting under the bed. LOL

So I propose we start a second Iris auction for newbie seeds. I will donate my 10 Irises to the highest bidder (Arejay chooses of course) and for the Northerners I will add 10 seeds of Giant Himalayan Lillies Cardiocrinum giganteum var. yunnanense and for the Southerners 8 Black Bat Flower Seeds. You know what they are. LOL

Let's don't be shy now. This Newbie seed pack from Arejay made my summer. Remember the more weeders the better. ROTFL

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

HAHA.. Im back. another exceptional episode of 'true Blood' the evening... WOOT!

Heyyyy, Ya'll quit blaming my poor Lucy for seed stealing.. she's a Carnivore...lol.. not and herbivore, tho seeds may come to disappear if said 'hunk o' flesh' just happens to be holding onto them at the moment of...erm... consumption. but not to worry... Lucy usually spits those right back out.. the seeds that is.

You're very welcome, Patricia. Thank you for helping to fill the "seed bank". Sherri is right we need to find more seeds. I noticed this morning that 14 new people signed up. And even though everyone exceeded expectations to help with Robin's quest to fill her seed bank for her giveaways, I'm sure she doesn't want to tell someone in December she can't give them any seeds because she is out of seeds.

Everyone of the bidders were unbelieveable. I can't say enough and thank you just doesn't seem to cover what everyone of you has done. Never in my wildest dream did I think it would turn into such a wild 24 hours of fun for everyone. Especially Robin. I offered some irises but she and her gang made it happen.

Patricia, you and the other bidders have stirred up some cobwebs in my head. I'm thinking why not make this a yearly function? I think it's bought alot of people together with some excitement and one thought in mind to help brings seeds to the newbies that join.

( I guess I better run past Robin first.) lol

Thank you to all the bidders. Congratulations to the winner. Thank you!!!

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes, Yes, Yes!! I say lets do it!!! Mit is absolutely right..It is hard to find seeds in Maine in December...It all depends on people like you. You have no idea how many lives are touched by your donations...I get long thankful letters everyday...some tell me how their lives are changed just by an envelope of seeds....it is absolutely amazing the people I meet...the donating and the receiving ...it is all priceless... I thank each and everyone of you for participating.
Robin

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Agreed! I think it's a splendid idea!

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Well I'm back from watching Mystery. Thanks Mit and arejay. I'm not proud. I'll take half price. I was meaning to donate some seeds to the cause anyway, so now I'm committed, which is a good thing for a procrastinator to be. Arejay, will you dmail your address, and I'll get them out in the next few days. Do you need printed instructions to go with the seeds and bulbils?

I think this is a good idea, also. Thanks Mitt, for beautiful plants. Everyone knows, I'm no good at latin scrambles, but this is fun AND helpful.

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

its addictive, thats for sure!

If anyone has ideas of seeds you'd like to see go up for our next auction #5 let me know. I do keep some of the winning seed bids,(have to have some to put up to get more in), but am also filling a baggie for arejay's newbie packs. As a baggie fills,I will send it on. I have one ready now for her, sending out tomorrow. Next auction will be 8/23/09 at 8:00pm. We will start a new thread for it-Auction #5 that night, with new seed up for auction named at that time. So if there is any particular seed you would like to see up there, let me know.

You are so sweet Seray for donating the iris for another auction. The seed bids are really important to the newbies, and I know you will surely be blessed for the donation.
The seed envelopes and live plants will go out in the morning. Keep your eyes open for them.

I'm celebrating all by myself on the new thread. We have seeds and bulbs to gather. Fall's coming. LOL

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

mekos.. what about a 'fall garden' auction.. maybe get together some seeds that all need to be planted int he fall? Or maybe a 'Spring Bulb' garden.. ir 'Winter Flower'? or some sort of themed variety... just an idea

and BTW... I got the 'Halloween Auction' covered.... he he he

Fall lasagna goth garden supreme. Has a nice ring to it. LOL

Nite All!!!! Thanks to all for the great fun!!! I know now I need to stay out of auction houses. LOL

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

.WOW, I cannot believe the generosity of that special Iris giver. This is awesome and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you. My seeds will be mailed out just as soon as I find where to send them.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
