Anyone know what kind of Cocoon this is?

On my front porch I have a wind chime, on it i found an elongated, bright yellow cocoon. It is about 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch in size. It is smooth, I am not sure what it is.

Could you take another photo with the object in question in sharper focus (your camera focused on the background in this image)? It may not be a cocoon.

Try putting a sheet of plain paper behind the object you are photographing...makes it much easier to see clearly.

Could this be an errant blob of that spray-can expanding foam insulation? It sure looks like that stuff.
