CLOSED: Wondering what spider made these egg sacs.

Seattle, WA

I saw these egg sacs in a web at my parents house in SE Texas. They were round but with spikes. Almost like a sea mine. Just wanted to know what spider makes these. Thanks.

I do not know for certain whether it is the only one to do so, but the brown widow spider, Latrodectus geometricus, constructs such 'spiky' egg cases - see http://tinyurl.com/qtfut2

I went and read about the Brown Widow. I'm almost positive that's the spider. Thanks for your help.
