Seen in southern England in May. It was very small and had landed on our vehicle.
CLOSED: What type of beetle is this?
Not a beetle, but a plant bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Miridae); possibly Dryophilocoris flavoquadrimaculatus - see http://tinyurl.com/mrkwcc - but there are other similar appearing species in the UK.
That looks good to me. Couldn't it have a common name!!
The closest thing to a common name is the four spot yellow and black plant bug....but url says that can confuse it with other yellow and black plant bugs......they don't make it easy....grin
