full view of indica this is up the pine and over my bird cage guineas if wondering. this is the only one i have let go wild some to give them shade but believe it or not it is in a ten gallon pot on the other side of tree. but winter kills it down and easy to pull up if need be

thank Debra i walked out yesterday and today to these finally but still have more that hasnt bloomed yet.

one i have seems to be a tree type thing but not a bush the vine gets woddy like as it goes and ages so trying to be patient and hope in next month it will bloom too.

Marie.. This one http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6933296

I have and I love it.. and hey, I like spiders.. my pet garden spider has grown to almost three inches in diameter now.. she is gorgeous, and in the corner back by the vines.. from looking at her "dinner scraps" I think she is worth her weight in grass hoppers..

(Zone 7a)

Morning glories kinda take the bite out of the temps of August, don't they? Love bird cages in the garden - nothing finer for MGs. Very pretty, Marie.

Debra, agreed about spiders in the garden - keeps the munching down.

Beautiful flowers Marie!

Gorgeous blooms, love your chocolate blizzard!!

This spider had the hugest web yesterday, was afraid he was going to trap my hummers. I encouraged him to go to the other side of the fence.

we have a lot of writing spiders around the yard and wolf spiders. my main spiders come out at night and have huge webs across my yard they are so big you can go watch the spiders make them. you have to carry a flashlight at night so you dont walk into them. hehe been there didnt like it.

Birmingham, United Kingdom

Lovely indica and nice spots of colour going into that tree, sure looks dry.

That's a new one for me, spiders that eat humming birds...! (yikes)

Love all your new blooms Marie.
We get the huge writing spiders too. Not as
many this yr for some reason.

well its been up in the 95 or more all season. its raining now thankfully but this is usual summer weather for the area. others can say the same so its normal.

my glories have to be watered almost every day. we use buckets and milk jugs at slow drip(hole in bottom) to help water things . you learn to deal with it.

where baby is laying at is a spot that got dug up due to a water leak so its slowly growing back

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Great shot of baby. He's a very pretty cat.

Marie - Cute kitty! I love the idea of using the I. indica for shade over your cage area. It would make a beautiful shady area for your birds. ;-)

I like this bloom: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6933290 Very nice blizzard pattern. I hope you are saving seeds from that vine. :-) Lovely Hibiscus, too! :-)

Helena - I love your spider photo! Very cool! I have the big ole' spider webs that show up everywhere at night. It is something else to take a walkabout with a flashlight! :-)

Becky

i havent seen any seeds on it yet. i have tried to hand pollinate and still no seeds wondering if this one is sterile or something. i am hoping for seeds and will let you know if i get enough to share. right now i havent gotten any off it.

i hate looking at their cage and figured the morning glory could cover it and not hurt anything. so far it hasnt and easily been pulled up out the ground to put the runner on the cage. it also gives them extra shade and lkets bugs come near the cage they can eat off of. its worked pretty welll this year.

Nice color on the flowers!

i have another chocolate variation but misplaced the cameera running in from the rain today. it has been a steady rain most of the day. thankfully my yard been needing it something bad.
