this guy loves the swamp milkweed. Is he a harm to the monarch caterpillars?

This appears to be a great golden digger wasp, Sphex ichneumoneus (Hymenoptera: Sphecidae) - see http://tinyurl.com/lbfkz8 for an image and http://tinyurl.com/maa6sh for detailed information. It is on the flowers for nectar, and is not a threat to monarch caterpillars.
