This year I have let the wild morning glory in my corn grow until it has flowered. You can see the result. I am tempted to save some of the seeds. Do you think anyone would be interested in them? Where can I find instructions for harvesting morning glory seeds? Is this variety identifiable from the photo?
Wild Blue Glory, Saving Seeds
Cibarius - Welcome! Your wild vine might be Ipomoea hederacea: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/53528/
If so, it can become a bit invasive and a couple of states actually prohibit them. But ... there may be folks interested. Check the sticky thread (at the top of the forum) for more information on collecting seeds. Feel free to ask questions if you don't find the answers in the sticky. :-)
Yes that one is nice; I have grown it myself; it is very quick to bloom from seed, I have heard of people bloom it on a windowsill in a styro foam cup in about 8 weeks.
when the flower dies it will produce a green pod where the flower wwas. then when the pod is brown and papery the seeds can be collected.
